I'm Sara, I'm 38 and have one daughter and two stepdaughters. I live in Derbyshire close to Ripley and Alfreton.
I've been interested in photography for as long as I can remember, but it wasn't until I had a camera with adjustable settings that I really decided to take the time to learn how to use a camera properly. That camera was a tiny little Samsung NV10 and I used it in Auto mode for a LONG time before I started getting to know how to use its other settings. Then when we were on holiday one year, it broke. :( It was a few months before I bought another camera, but this time I went for a Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ28 - what's called a bridge camera, or superzoom. This was when I REALLY started to learn. I joined a photo sharing website called Flickr, which I uploaded my photos to for sharing with other Flickr users. Flickr has been a huge source of knowledge and inspiration for me, and I can honestly say that I've learnt virtually everything I know about photography from the online community of Flickr.

And now here I am, running a small photography business recording beautiful moments in time by taking family portraits either at an outdoor location or in your own home - and loving every minute of it.
